I am LaTanya Swift, a former owner of a Family Child Care Learning Home for more than 11 years in Georgia. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mercer University with a bachelor’s degree in human services. I started down the early care and education path because I saw the need, in my community, for young, working families like mine, to have access to quality and affordable childcare. Later, I decided to close my childcare program to work for the state of Georgia childcare licensing department so that I could expand my support to early care educators. I worked for many years within the state of Georgia as a Quality Rated Subsidy Analyst, Child Care Consultant, and New Hire Training and Coaching Consultant. I transitioned from the state into a corporate role with an early childhood franchisor where I worked with the franchisees in multiple states.
