How do I find an Accredited Provider?
Click here to be directed to our search engine. We cannot give the providers’ contact information, but you can obtain that from your local Child Care Resource and Referral. You can search at www.ChildCareAware.org for the CCR&R that serves your area.

How long does it take to get accredited?
Nine months to three years. We know that is a long range, but the process is provider driven.

How would a provider start the process?
Submit an application. You can apply online by clicking here, or you can click here to download a paper application. The application must be submitted with at least half of the accreditation fees. Is there assistance to become accredited?
There are local accreditation projects and associations that assist providers. Click here here for additional funding information.

What happens if an accredited provider moves?
If a provider moves while accredited, she can notify NAFCC and begin the process of transferring her accreditation to the new location. The process to transfer accreditation to a new location, the provider will complete a Self-Observation and Self-Certified Standards for NAFCC Accreditation for her new location and submit it with a copy of her new license to NAFCC.
