Election Bio — I am proud and excited with the opportunity to apply for the position of Regional 9 Representative of the National Association for Family Child Care. I have raised my six children since the death of my husband in 1987, doing all of this as a family child care provider. All six have gone to college, and now I have the opportunity to achieve my dream by doing the same. Receiving two Degrees in May 2008 is such a reward. As President of the California Association for Family Child Care, I’m accountable to them and I will also be to YOU.
I currently travel statewide helping associations and providers who need assistance. I believe there is no job too hard to do. California has taught me many things I can use in my office if chosen by my peers. I look forward to working with the NAFCC Board of Directors and for YOU, reaching out to family child care providers in all four states. Standing together, we can make a difference.
