  Term: Appointment 2010-2013

Kordula (Kordie) Green has been an early childhood educator teaching, nurturing and providing services for children from six weeks to three years of age for over 17 years.

Kordie shares: “A successful business begins with professionalism being a must . I made a commitment to the profession of child care, to the parents and children. In making this commitment a reality I received my CDA in 2001, National Accreditation in 2003, Ph.D. in Christian Education, 2004 and Ph.D. in Christian Counseling, 2005.”

She lives by her often stated quote “One is not able to be a teacher without first becoming a student.” Helping others to understand, you have to first become knowledgeable. I believe in equipping myself with well rounded knowledge to help, assist, support, encourage, and motivate others.

She shares: “I hope to work with state child care agencies, state child development departments, local and state FCC associations, state and local legislators making sure no child is left behind. To treat all children with worth, integrity and dignity, one must have a caring heart. I believe that as long as you expose a child to many interesting things he/she will learn.

The Welfare of Our Children is Based upon our Way of Living and Teaching . Our Children Truly are our Future SPECIAL and UNIQUE.

Kordie’s volunteer involvement in the field has been on a local, state and national level. She served as a Co-President for the Georgia Family Child Care Association and has served on several NAFCC Committees including ALI/PDI and Chair of the Black Caucus. In May of 2008 she was appointed to fill an open position as Regional Representative for Region 4 (AL, FL, GA, KY, MS, NC, SC, TN), and was re-elected in 2009. She is currently accepting the invitation to serve as the Regional Representative Council Delegate.
