  Appointed Term 2012 - 2015

Election Bio — Last year, I was honored to be appointed Region 2 Representative, serving New York and New Jersey, and now I have the privilege of running for this office. I wish to continue to share ideas and resources with members, and advocate for providers and quality in family child care. I enjoyed partnering with parents to care for children over the course of 15 years in family child care and I was wistful about closing my program to join Child Care Connection, a well-respected resource and referral agency. The decision has been a good one for me, my very supportive family and the early childhood organizations I am proud to support.

Being invited to sit at the table and represent family child care, at both the state and national level, is a long-term goal; one I have attained with the help of many wonderful advocates who have come before me and those who continue to walk beside me on a journey to quality care for all children. This is a very exciting time for family child care. With your vote of encouragement, I will continue to share, to serve your interests and support NAFCC’s mission and quality initiatives.
