What a cute email address! In any case, I hope you are still pursuing your quality plan and are staying sane. I have found that the after effects of improvements outweigh the effort that originally went into them. Staying the course and completing your plan will pay off in the long run although there may be some struggles to get there, and sacrifices. Step back, evaluate all areas of your life so that you aren't neglecting something important, and keep in mind that rest, nutrition and relaxation have to be part of the plan, especially if you are in it for more than a few weeks.

...and I'm finding it quite overwhelming.  I have developed a plan.  First, Quality Counts Grant and ECE Credential Level 4.  Then, QRS.  Then, Accreditation.  Inbetween, working on my MBA. All very intimidating, very nerve racking, very challenging.  Why have I decided to embark on an adventure that will cause me more stress than I need?  To gain that competitive edge - times are hard, and a competition day care has become.

Ok-  I received an email with the FAll 2010 newsletter today, so i thought I'd give the site a test run again.  I am getting excited about goign to Las Vegas.  My favorite part is the pre-conference.  I gain so much insight and come away with some really greeat ideas to share with others in my area.

However, to date...I still can't find any details about the preconference other than the dates.  Bummed extremely.  I clicked on the contact information and sent an email to the conference specialist. I hope to here something soon.

I am truly feeling that I have no time for anything. I am up and cleaning at 5am Monday through Friday to open the door at 5:30am to daycare. I have daycare kids from 5:30am to 5:30pm everyday. By the time that last daycare kid goes home I get to make supper for my own children, bathe them, read to them, put them to bed and then I am so exhausted I can't do anything so I go to bed. Saturdays I run a rural postal route. I leave home at 6:30am and get home between 4 to 6pm depending on the mail load. Again with quick making supper and getting kids to bed and then I fall asleep. Sundays we get up, quick have breakfast, go to church/Sunday school, come home to have lunch get some laundry done, run to get groceries for the week then it is time for supper, baths, and bedtime again. I truly have no time for organizing paperwork, creating curriculums, or just to re-pot my plants. Hopefully hiring a substitute will help with my feeling overwhelmed.

Okay...so I jumped online to check out the next NAFCC Conference in Las Vegas (baby!) and came across this new social networking tool for NAFCC.  I must say, I love this idea.  I sincerely hope that many providers take advange of this.  The more porivders that engage in this the better resource it will be.  I look forward to checking back and seeing how it progresses.  Nice work NAFCC!
