Published by: The National Association for Family Child Care, 2006 The standards resource manuals are one of many tools a provider can use to prepare for accreditation. They can also be used by mentors, trainers, agencies, and/or family child care associations who are helping family child care providers in their journey toward NAFCC accreditation. Each standard is presented separately so it will be easy for providers to find the information they need to consider individual standards. The information on each standard is divided into eight sections: The Standard; Why the Standard is Important; Thinking about the Standard; Ask Yourself; First Steps; Follow-Up Steps; Helpful Resources; References. This 6-binder set includes the Relationship Standards, Environment Standards, Developmental Learning Activity Standards, Safety Standards, Health Standards, and Professional and Business Practice Standards.
