2019 Call for Workshop Presenters

September 6, 2018  ι  #NAFCC19

NAFCC is currently seeking workshop proposals for the 29th National Family Child Care Conference, taking place in Orlando, Florida June 19-22, 2019.

We are thrilled to invite workshop proposals that focus on family child care providers and the many qualities that make family child care unique to early care and education. Click here for a preview of the conference tracks.

Attendees are looking for sessions that focus on practical solutions to increase their knowledge and effectiveness; to engage and challenge their thinking; and to nurture their purpose, creativity, and professional excellence. We invite presenters to focus their content for the various roles in family child care, such as:

  • Family child care providers
  • Early Head Start community
  • Child nutrition community
  • Coaches, mentors, and trainers
  • Family child care networks
  • State agencies

Many conference attendees have a strong background in family child care and we encourage a program with many advanced level workshops.

We encourage Spanish speaking presentations and hope to have a variety of sessions in Spanish throughout the conference.

Workshops will be offered Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, June 20-22, 2019. All workshops will be 90 minutes.

NAFCC is pleased to offer all presenters a screen and projector. All other audiovisual (AV) equipment (including laptops and speakers) will be the presenter's responsibility.

All presenters are required to register for the conference. Primary presenters and one co-presenter per workshop can register at a special discounted rate of $95.00.

The submission deadline is November 30, 2018.

Conference Testimonials

May 11, 2018  ι  #NAFCC18

The National Family Child Care Conference is a special event for family child care providers across the United States to meet, network, and grow together. The conference provides an environment on unity in which many providers and advocates have met and became life-long friends. Providers share with us each year that they leave the conference re-energized and refocused to provide the highest quality of care for the children they work with.

We've asked four providers, Debbie, Svitlana, Mary, and Corinne to share their stories of attending the National Family Child Care Conference. Over the years, three of these providers - Debbie, Svitlana, and Mary - met and have become life-long friends who reconnect each year at the conference. They have supported each other as they became presenters at the conference, and this year, in Chicago, they presented a workshop together. Corinne is a family child care provider who bravely decided to attend her first conference alone. She shares her story of how much she has learned and grown at conference each year since making that decision.

We hope you enjoy their stories and that you join us in Orlando, June 19-22, 2019!
